Join us at 'Forging New Connections' South, for a keynote speech from leading child psychotherapist, Margot Sunderland, together with a selection of innovative and creative workshops. This conference provides an exciting opportunity to explore how scientific theory translates into everyday practice.

Conference Introduced by Julia Bird
A UKCP registered psychotherapist and a founding director of Thrive, Julia is passionate about understanding how training adults in emotional development impacts on the behaviour and learning of young people. A former teacher, LEA and Ofsted inspector, her experience includes working with LEA's and schools to help them understand how children develop emotionally and socially. Her qualifications include: MSc Gestalt Psychotherapy GPTI; BEd (Hons); Cert and Dip in Counselling.
Keynote speaker Dr Margot Sunderland
Dr Margot Sunderland is a child psychotherapist with over 30 years experience, and is also an award-winning author of more than 20 books in the field of child mental health. Her current roles include: Director of Education and Training at The Centre for Child Mental Health, London; Honorary Visiting Fellow at London Metropolitan University; and Associate Member of the Royal College of Medicine.
